The boys and girls, smartly holding their posters as well as the school flag, marched on to fulfill their duty of spreading the message to save the planet, their mother earth. All the faculty members could feel a sense of pride when people stopped to hear the slogans the kids raised, as well as to look at the posters the kids held up high. The hot sun didn’t deter them from doing their duty, and when one looked at the teachers and the faculty, they could realize how their child-like energy inspired the students to go on. Reaching back to the school gates, after a full round of the locality, the students could see small kids waiting for their seniors to come back, their eyes filled with awe as their teachers made them learn and understand the importance of the day. The plantation drive that followed made the kids huddle up around their chairman and the principal, who beamed as they planted saplings, in hopes that it would grow and flourish, wishing the same for their students. The kids sang, danced and showcased their take on how they wish to save the planet by understanding the gravity of the current situation, and working for a better future.
